GENZA COMMUNITY GUIDELINES
Version: 1.0
Effective Date: March 31, 2026
This page provides important information about GENZA’s safety policies and reporting procedures for users in Colorado. It is designed to work together with our other safety documents and to support Colorado online dating safety disclosure requirements, including the Colorado Online Dating Services Safety Act.
GENZA is an adults-only social dating app that uses avatars, games, shared experiences and connection-based progression to help people build meaningful relationships. To keep GENZA safe, respectful and lawful, everyone who uses GENZA must follow these Community Guidelines.
These Guidelines apply to everything you do on GENZA - including your profile, avatar, photos, voice, rooms, chats, prompts, reports, games, messages, referral activity and any other content or conduct connected to the Service ("Content"). They work together with our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and other in-app disclosures.
By using GENZA, you agree to comply with these Community Guidelines.
1. WHO CAN USE GENZA
1.1. Age (18+ only)
GENZA is strictly for adults 18 years of age or older.
You must not create an account or use GENZA if you are under 18.
If we reasonably believe that you are under 18, or are using GENZA on behalf of a minor, we may remove your account and take proportionate technical steps to prevent re-registration.
1.2. One person - one account
Your account is personal. Do not share it with others or allow anyone else to use GENZA as if they were you.
Do not create multiple accounts to evade restrictions, bans, safety checks or moderation decisions.
1.3. Lawful use only
You may use GENZA only where it is legally permitted and only for lawful purposes.
You are responsible for following applicable U.S. federal, state and local laws, as well as any laws of the place from which you access GENZA.
You must not use GENZA for trafficking, fraud, harassment, stalking, exploitation, commercial sexual services or any other illegal activity.
2. GENZA VALUES AND COMMUNITY PRINCIPLES
These values explain the kind of community GENZA is designed to support. They guide how we interpret and enforce these Community Guidelines.
Personality before appearance. GENZA is designed to reduce pressure from surface-level standards and allow people to connect through character, behavior and shared experience first.
Play as a way to connect. Games, quests and shared activities are meant to help people learn about each other honestly - not to manipulate, embarrass or exploit others.
Safety as the foundation of trust. Openness only works where people feel protected. We maintain consent-based progression, moderation tools and zero tolerance for serious abuse.
Connection through shared experience. Rooms, games, 3D spaces and co-operative mechanics are designed to support genuine interaction, not chaos, intimidation or predatory conduct.
Empathy and emotional intelligence. We expect users to communicate respectfully, understand boundaries and avoid coercive, degrading or dehumanizing behavior.
Freedom of self-expression. Users may create a digital identity and style within the product, but self-expression must not become deception, impersonation or manipulation.
Growth through interaction. Relationships develop over time. You must respect each person's pace, boundaries and consent as trust builds.
Compatibility over labels. GENZA focuses on behavior, values and communication style. You must not use the app to shame, stereotype or demean people for personal characteristics.
Trust over instant access. Some features, including photos or deeper profile layers, may unlock through connection mechanics. You must not pressure, trick or threaten others to reveal more than they want to share.
Careful and transparent service. We aim to build a thoughtful and honest product. Users must not abuse platform mechanics, exploit loopholes or undermine the safety systems that support the community.
3. AUTHENTICITY AND HONEST REPRESENTATION
3.1. Real people; no deceptive profiles
You must represent yourself truthfully in all material respects.
You may use GENZA avatars, stylized media or creative self-expression features as intended by the product. However, you must not use an avatar, profile, photo, AI-generated media, voice or other feature to mislead others about your identity, age, safety status, relationship intent or other important facts.
You must not:
impersonate any person or entity, including celebrities, influencers, public figures, friends, ex-partners, strangers or GENZA staff;
use another person's photos, likeness, voice or personal information without consent;
create fake, parody or experiment accounts for spying, harassment, scams or social games;
claim or imply that you are verified, background-checked or identity-confirmed when that is not true; or
use stolen, stock, synthetic or manipulated faces while pretending they are your real appearance in a materially misleading way.
We may remove or restrict profiles that appear inauthentic, deceptive or unsafe.
3.2. Photos, avatars, voice and media
Not allowed:
explicit nudity or sexual acts;
images of minors in sexual, suggestive or inappropriate contexts;
content that glorifies hate, violence or discrimination;
images showing illegal drug transactions, illegal weapons, or real-world graphic violence;
deepfakes, voice clones or AI-generated content used to trick, blackmail or mislead other users; and
media designed to bypass moderation or disguise prohibited conduct.
Generally allowed, subject to context and safety review:
standard profile photos where your appearance is reasonably clear;
GENZA avatars and stylized identity features used in good faith;
moderate filters or edits that do not materially change who you are; and
photos with other people if you have their consent and remain the main subject where appropriate.
GENZA may decline or remove media that does not meet these standards or that we reasonably consider misleading, unsafe or inconsistent with the product design.
4. RESPECTFUL COMMUNICATION, CONSENT AND PROGRESSION
4.1. Respectful interactions
You must:
communicate politely and without abusive language;
respect different backgrounds, experiences and identities; and
stop contacting someone if they say "no", indicate they are not interested, unmatch you, block you, mute you, leave a room, or otherwise ask you to stop.
You must not:
insult, mock or degrade people based on appearance, body, age, nationality, religion, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or other personal traits;
use slurs, targeted intimidation or degrading language; or
deliberately ruin someone else's experience through bullying, humiliation or public shaming.
4.2. Harassment, stalking and coercion
Not allowed:
repeated messaging after someone has made it clear they do not want contact;
harassing or stalking someone, including by creating new accounts after being blocked;
pressuring, intimidating or blackmailing someone, including threats to leak messages, media or personal information; and
using games, rooms, voice or social pressure to isolate, overwhelm or coerce another user.
4.3. Sexual content and consent
You must not:
send unsolicited sexual content or explicit media to anyone who has not clearly agreed to receive it;
pressure, manipulate or coerce anyone into sending intimate photos, joining a private room, turning on voice, revealing their identity or meeting offline;
ignore or override someone's boundaries after they have expressed discomfort or refusal; or
use unlock mechanics, intimacy mechanics or trust-building features as a pretext for sexual pressure.
Any sexual or intimate communication must be based on freely given, informed and revocable consent.
4.4. Consent-based progression and private information
GENZA may use progression mechanics in which trust, photos or other features open over time. You must respect that design.
You must not pressure users to unlock photos, reveal their real name, share outside contact details, disclose social media accounts, move to another platform, or provide private information before they are comfortable doing so.
5. MINORS, CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE AND PROTECTION
5.1. No minors, ever
GENZA does not allow:
accounts for anyone under 18;
attempts to find, date, sexualize or exploit minors; or
content that implies or suggests a sexual interest in minors.
If we believe that a user is under 18 or involved in activity involving minors, we may remove the content, close the account and take further action as permitted or required by law.
5.2. Child sexual abuse material
We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material or any sexual exploitation of minors.
Any such content will be removed. Accounts associated with such conduct may be permanently banned. We may preserve and report relevant information to law enforcement or child protection organizations where permitted or required by law.
6. COMMERCIAL SEXUAL SERVICES AND EXPLOITATION
GENZA is not a platform for escort services, prostitution, "sugar dating", trafficking or any other form of commercial sexual services.
You must not:
offer or request sexual services in exchange for money, gifts, travel, accommodation, payment of bills or any other benefit;
advertise escort services, brothels, "sugar arrangements" or similar schemes;
use GENZA to recruit clients or partners for paid sexual activities; or
post links, handles or contact details primarily intended to promote commercial sexual services.
We apply zero tolerance to such conduct. Accounts involved in these activities may be permanently banned without notice, and we may take technical steps to prevent re-registration.
7. FRAUD, ROMANCE SCAMS AND FINANCIAL MANIPULATION
GENZA is not a place to ask strangers for money, gifts, crypto, login credentials or financial help.
7.1. Prohibited conduct
You must not:
use romantic or emotional stories to pressure or trick people into sending money, gifts or anything of value;
invent emergencies to obtain money or financial support;
promote "investment opportunities", trading schemes or other financial products, especially with guaranteed returns;
ask for bank account details, card numbers, one-time passwords, seed phrases, login credentials or other sensitive financial data; or
send phishing links, fake payment pages or wallet-draining links.
7.2. What users should do
If someone asks you for money, pushes you into "investment" deals, tries to move you off-platform while avoiding normal safe interaction, or requests sensitive financial information, do not comply. Stop communicating and report the profile using the in-app scam or fraud reporting option.
Confirmed romance or financial scam behavior may lead to permanent account bans.
8. HATE, VIOLENCE AND DANGEROUS CONTENT
8.1. Hate speech
You must not:
attack, insult or dehumanize people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, serious illness or other protected or sensitive characteristics;
promote or encourage discrimination, exclusion or segregation; or
support, praise or promote extremist, terrorist or hate organizations.
8.2. Threats and violence
You must not:
threaten physical or sexual violence against any person or group;
glorify, romanticize or encourage violence, including domestic or intimate partner violence; or
share content depicting real-world violence, serious injury or gore for shock, intimidation or entertainment.
Where there is a credible threat to someone's life or safety, GENZA may take appropriate action, including contacting law enforcement where permitted or required by law.
9. ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES AND DANGEROUS GOODS
You may not use GENZA to:
buy, sell, promote or distribute illegal drugs, firearms or other illegal goods;
plan, coordinate or promote criminal activity, including fraud, hacking, identity theft or money laundering;
share malware, malicious links or content designed to compromise devices, accounts or personal data; or
evade export, sanctions, safety or platform restrictions applicable to the Service.
We may remove or restrict accounts involved in such activity and may cooperate with law enforcement where appropriate.
10. ABUSE OF GAMES, SPACES, VOICE AND PRODUCT FEATURES
GENZA includes interactive spaces, rooms, quests, voice and progression mechanics. These features must be used in good faith.
You must not:
disrupt shared rooms, games or events through abusive, intimidating, obscene or deliberately destructive behavior;
use bots, scripts, exploits or manipulated clients to gain unfair access, progression, visibility or rewards;
farm trust, progression or unlocks through fake interaction, collusion or account networks;
record, stream, capture or redistribute another user's voice, image, messages or other content in violation of law, consent or our policies; or
use product mechanics to corner, isolate, shame or humiliate another user.
GENZA may limit access to specific features where misuse, safety concerns, fraud or platform integrity risks are identified.
11. SPAM, COMMERCIAL USE, REFERRAL ABUSE AND EXTERNAL LINKS
GENZA is intended for personal connection, not for marketing, mass recruitment or aggressive referral activity.
You must not:
send bulk or repetitive unsolicited messages, invites or referrals;
use GENZA mainly to advertise products, services, adult content, MLM schemes, affiliate links or get-rich-quick offers;
use the referral system, if offered, in a deceptive, spammy or manipulative way;
post links leading to scams, malware, escort services, illegal content or other unsafe sites; or
misrepresent your relationship with GENZA when sharing invites, referral links or promotional content.
Limited, non-intrusive references to your work, projects or social media may be acceptable, provided your primary purpose on GENZA remains personal use and your conduct is not deceptive, unsafe or sexually exploitative.
12. OFF-PLATFORM CONDUCT
In some cases, GENZA may consider serious conduct that occurs outside the app if it is clearly connected to people you met on GENZA and creates a safety risk for our users.
For example, we may restrict or close your account if there is credible information that you committed serious violence, sexual assault, trafficking, stalking, blackmail or similar conduct against a person connected to your GENZA interactions.
GENZA does not adjudicate criminal liability, but we may act to protect the community.
13. REPORTING, BLOCKING AND SAFETY TOOLS
13.1. Blocking
You can block another user if you do not want to communicate with them. Once blocked, that user will no longer be able to contact you from that account.
13.2. Reporting
Use the in-app report function if you see:
harassment, stalking, threats or coercion;
suspected scams, money requests or financial manipulation;
commercial sexual services or sexual exploitation;
possible minor involvement;
deceptive profiles or identity abuse; or
content or behavior that violates these Guidelines or the law.
Please provide as much detail as you reasonably can, including messages, room behavior, profile details or other context that helps us review the issue.
13.3. How we handle reports
Our Safety and Moderation team may:
take no action if a report is not substantiated;
remove or restrict content;
issue warnings;
limit certain features;
temporarily suspend or permanently ban accounts; and
escalate serious cases to legal, compliance, trust and safety, and where appropriate to law enforcement.
We may not always be able to share the outcome of our internal review, but we do use reports to protect the community and improve our systems.
14. ENFORCEMENT AND CONSEQUENCES
Depending on the seriousness and frequency of violations, GENZA may:
remove or modify specific content;
limit features, including messaging, voice, rooms, visibility, referrals or profile functions;
temporarily suspend your account;
permanently close your account;
block your device or other technical identifiers where legally and technically feasible; and
cooperate with law enforcement or other competent authorities when required or permitted by law.
We apply zero tolerance to child sexual abuse and exploitation, commercial sexual services and trafficking, serious romance or financial scams, credible threats to life or serious physical harm, and deliberate efforts to involve minors.
15. MODERATION, PRIVACY AND DATA
To enforce these Guidelines and protect users, GENZA may:
use automated tools to detect certain types of content or behavior, such as high-risk keywords, spam patterns or some forms of explicit imagery;
review content flagged by users or by our systems;
retain certain records, including logs, enforcement history and moderation decisions, for a reasonable period for safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, investigations and quality control; and
limit access to such data to authorized employees and contractors who need it for safety, legal, security or technical purposes.
We apply technical and organizational measures designed to help protect such data. More detail about our data handling appears in our Privacy Policy and related notices.
16. CHANGES TO THESE GUIDELINES
We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time, for example when we add or change features in GENZA, laws or regulatory expectations change, or we identify new safety risks or abuse patterns.
The updated version will be published on the relevant page or made available in the app. If changes are material, we may also notify you in the app or by other reasonable means. By continuing to use GENZA after changes take effect, you agree to the updated Community Guidelines.
If you have questions about these Community Guidelines or want to report a serious safety concern, please contact us through the in-app support tools or at support@genza.io
